Meeting Details:
We all know the Internet has changed the world – but how has it changed agriculture? For many years, farmers and rural residents were behind the technology curve – slow to jump on the Web bandwagon and lacking in the resources to do so.

But times have changed. A great deal of focus in the agriculture community – from the USDA to private companies – has been on how to bring rural communities up to speed. This has resulted in significant ramifications for the ag industry, from marketers to producers.

Kip Pendleton, President of AgriStar Global Networks, Chicago, Ill., will discuss how high-speed Internet access is changing how the agriculture industry does business. AgriStar Global Networks Ltd. has a 50-year track record of developing some of the pioneering communications and business advisory programs for the ag industry.

Following the regular meeting, there will also be a special Blogging Workshop presented by Chuck Zimmerman, of ZimmComm Marketing & Communications, from 1:30-2:30 at no additional cost. ZimmComm is the first firm in agrimarketing to offer blogging, podcasting and RSS services. Mr. Zimmerman has been presenting similar workshops and providing blog training for companies and associations nationwide. So whether you still don’t understand all the fuss about blogging, or whether you wonder how it can help your business – this workshop is for you. Please be sure to register for this when you RSVP for the regular meeting.

Hope to see you there!
